About Us

I'm Jen and I'm Nuts About Mutts!

As a professional pet sitter with extensive experience working with giant dogs, I've always had a love for all animals, but my passion for caring for them started when I became a proud owner of an English Mastiff 22 years ago. Since then, I've dedicated myself to providing high-quality care and attention to giant breeds such as Saint Bernards, Great Danes, and other large breeds such as American Staffordshire Pit Bull Terriers and Bully breeds, but welcome pets of all sizes, breeds, and species (Yes, even pigs!). As an experienced pet sitter, foster home, and trainer, I've gained the knowledge and skills necessary to handle and care for animals. I am well-versed in the unique needs of our pets, including their exercise requirements, dietary needs, and potential health issues that may arise. I prioritize the safety and comfort of your beloved pet, taking the time to understand their individual needs, including any medical conditions or behavior quirks, and provide personalized care accordingly. Whether your pet requires daily walks, medication administration, or special dietary accommodations, I am happy to meet their needs. In addition to my experience and expertise, I am also a dedicated and reliable professional. I understand that leaving your pet in someone else's care can be stressful, which is why I prioritize open communication with my clients, providing regular updates and photos to keep you informed of your pet's well-being while you are away. Safety is a priority for me and my 24 years of service in the military have instilled a deep sense of responsibility and understanding of the need for trust. I have a very large yard, but the driveway is not gated. As such, if your pet is boarding at my home, we'll be going for lots of walks together in the shade. Maybe each learn a new trick by practicing a few minutes a few times a day if you'd like us to. Inside my home, the dogs are part of the family and are free-roam, unless I am away from the house, during which time we would crate. I have enough crates of all sizes, including giant. My own dog passed away in March, so I have no other pets in the home at the moment. There are no children in the home. Our home is ground level with minimal entryway steps, making it ideal for older or injured dogs with limited mobility. Let me know if your pet has any special needs or behavioral quirks so that I can know how best to keep them safe and happy. It is also important that dogs be house trained and crate trained.
